The Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine on 22nd May 2025. This MoU was signed by Dr. Raman Mohan Singh, Director, PCIM&H and Dr. N. Zaheer Ahmad, Director General, CCRUM. Vd. Rabinarayan Acharya, DG, CCRAS was also present during the signing ceremony.
This MoU aims to facilitate collaboration between the two institutes in the field of Unani. The collaboration focuses on key areas such as development of Pharmacopoeial standards of unani drugs, quality control, standardization, evidence-based research on Unani drugs, and the development of Botanical Reference Standards (BRS), Phytochemical Reference Standards (PRS), etc. This collaboration represents a crucial step in advancing research and standardisation in traditional unani medicine while contributing to the nation's healthcare objectives.
