The annual college day celebration is organised by the management, and students with great interest and
enthusiasm. The day is celebrated during the first half of the academic session which is 18th September
of every year. It provides an opportunity to assess the achievements of the college. The students are
actively associated with all the segments of the programme. Rather, they manage all the activities by
themselves. As this day comes with cultural activities and celebrations, the energy and the spirit of
the students always stay high.
The curricular and co-curricular activities have equal significance in the teaching–learning process.
So, the development of infrastructure to meet adequate requirements for both is essential. In any
institution lecture hall, computer lab, library and practical labs are equally essential, as the annual
celebrations which are also important – which is very effectively being adopted in the SIMPATHY campus.
The function generally begins with SARASWATI VANDANA sung by a group of students followed by a Welcome
dance performance of students. The presentation of the annual report on college activities is a special
feature of the annual day function. Felicitation and distribution of certificates of merit in due
acknowledgement to the students and faculty of the college for their exemplary performance in different
academic pursuits forms the other segment of the program. College magazine will also be released by the
honorable guest. For every annual celebration day a reputed homoeopathic academician or political
dignitaries will be invited as Chief Guest. The gathering on this occasion will be addressed by the
Chief Guest with a special focus on the students to work hard and smart be confident and face the
challenges of real life.
The cultural activities performed by the students' exhibit their hidden talents. The student always needs
an outlet to showcase their potential and creativity. The students will need mentoring and proper
direction to channel their potential. The various activities performed on the occasion include skits,
songs under different styles, musical performances and so forth. The students anchor different segments
of the function with a view to working independently.
The audience comprising of students, faculty, staff, alumni, former teachers etc. enjoy every item of
the programme with great fun. Especially students are seen as highly jubilant and appreciate the
performances of their fellow students by putting their hands together.
To become productive citizens, and to serve society from different walks of life, students need to
acquire the latest knowledge through a rigorous academic process duly embedded with value education and
skill – orientation in their respective disciplines. The total personality development of students is
the hallmark of an effective education system; otherwise, the lopsided development of the personality of
its citizens has wreaked havoc on the life that society witnesses today.
